Hadera also studied acting at the Harlem School of Arts before making the jump to the screen. One of her first credits was a small role in "Da Brick" (2011), a pilot directed by Spike Lee. In 2017, Hadera again appeared in a Spike Lee joint, this time in a supporting role on the TV series adaptation of his film "She's Gotta Have It" (Netflix, 2017-). It was announced that she would be the series lead on "Deception" (ABC, 2018-), playing an FBI agent who teams up with an illusionist to solve crime.
