Henry Diltz is an American photographer and musician best known for his iconic images of musicians and cultural figures from the 1960s and 1970s. Originally a folk musician and member of the Modern Folk Quartet, Diltz transitioned into photography almost by accident, eventually becoming the official photographer at Woodstock in 1969.

He captured some of the most memorable album covers of the era, including "Morrison Hotel" by The Doors and Crosby, Stills & Nash's debut album. His candid, intimate portraits of artists like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, James Taylor, and Paul McCartney helped define the visual identity of the Laurel Canyon music scene. Diltz co-founded the Morrison Hotel Gallery, which showcases fine art music photography. His work remains a vital chronicle of rock and folk history.
