David Eick is the owner of All That Jazz Entertainment and has produced some of the most hailed cult, science fiction series on television. He began working in television during the early 1990s, producing made-for-TV movies like "M.A.N.T.I.S.," before embarking on a string of "Hercules" movies that eventually became a one-season-series in 1995. Eick produced five TV movie installments of "Hercules" before serving as a producer for the cult horror series "American Gothic," starring Gary Cole, in 1995. The underground sensation also enjoyed a strong critical reaction, despite the short run of the series. It helped propel Eick's career as a television producer going into the 2000s as he became an executive producer on the acclaimed "Cover Me: Based on the True Life of an FBI Family" in 2000. Three years later he began to executive produce the sci-fi mini-series "Battlestar Galactica," which marked the reboot of the franchise on television. The space thriller's regular series developed a devout legion of cult followers and earned widespread critical acclaim, garnering 19 Emmy Award nominations during its run from 2004 to 2009. The show's popularity led to multiple spin-off series and movies in the late-2000s including "Battlestar Galactica: Razor," "Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance," and the series' prequel that debuted in 2009 "Caprica," all of which were executively produced by Eick.
