Singer and actress Corbin Reid made the leap from the Broadway stage to the big screen when she played Ashley in the much-hyped horror sequel "Blair Witch" (2016). Born and raised in Minneapolis, Reid studied theater at the University of Michigan and after graduating went on to land roles in the Broadway productions of "American Idiot" and "Sister Act," and an off-Broadway revival of "Rent." After making her on-screen debut in the short film "Ribbons" (2010), she starred as an aspiring actress in the pilot "Words with Girls" (2014), guested on the web series "Loz Feliz, 90027" (2014) and "Not So Union" (2015), and released her debut solo single, "Crazy," via a Kickstarter campaign.
Reid then enjoyed one-off appearances in mixed martial arts drama "Kingdom" (Audience Network, 2014-) and Shonda Rhimes' mystery "How to Get Away with Murder" (ABC, 2014-), before landing the most high-profile role of her career, accident prone college student Ashley, in Adam Wingard's reboot of the found-footage franchise, "Blair Witch" (2016).
