I have to laugh at these shows crying about the production costs and moving elsewhere and to blame it on paying seat-fillers is even funnier. I worked at 3 of the studios here in town and I know exactly how much money they make and I also know the consequences of not getting to come home at night to your own bed and family. These people that value the dollar so much do not realize just how much they are giving up in the long run. In any case, they will do what they want to do. These people that value the dollar so much do not realize just how much they are giving up in the long run. In any case, they will do what they want to do. One of the studios I worked for cancelled a top 10 show on CBS every year they aired but they cancelled it anyway just to save a buck. They truly are clueless. I will add that if they wanted to cut costs they should do away with the Primetime version where they have these exorbitant prizes and trips that no one has the money to pay the taxes on. If I won a ridiculously overpriced $40k vacation to Italy for example, I would just have to give it back. I am not spending $8000 in taxes for a trip I can pay for myself for maybe $3k.
