7 Soap Actors We Want to See on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ (PHOTOS)
Eileen Davidson
Davidson is definitely best known for playing Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless since 1982. Because she’s been on soaps for over 30 years, she’d be an automatic fan favorite among the DWTS demographic. Not to mention, she’s a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum!
Melissa Ordway
Ordway currently stars as Abby Newman on The Young and the Restless, but she’s also known for her roles in 17 Again and 90210. Ordway would do great on the show because she seems to have a great personality and she’d work really hard. Plus, she’s young and could handle the physical aspects of the show. We could see her going really far in the competition.
Wayne Brady
There’s no question about it — Wayne Brady needs to be on DWTS ASAP. He currently stars as Reese Buckingham on The Bold and the Beautiful, but he’s obviously best known for Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Let’s Make a Deal. He has a great personality, but he also looks like he’d have some moves. Sign him up!
Chrishell Hartley
Hartley has been on a number of soap operas throughout the years, but she’s currently starring as Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives. Not only is Hartley an iconic soap actress, she’s currently married to This Is Us star Justin Hartley and looks like she has some serious dance moves. She has a bubbly personality and could definitely win over viewers with her charisma.
Peter Bergman
Speaking of Eileen Davidson, we think her The Young and the Restless on-screen brother should also be on DWTS. Bergman has played Jack Abbott since the ‘80s, and much like Davidson, would be really popular with the demo. Let’s be honest, he’s probably not going to be the best dancer, but it’d still be entertaining!
Hunter King
King is best known for playing Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless, and has even won Daytime Emmy Awards thanks to the role. She’d be perfect for DWTS because of her great personality and also because she’s 25 years old! The show is always looking for young talent, and King would fit in perfectly. Not to mention, she’s also the older sister of actress Joey King.
Pierson Fodé
Fodé’s breakthrough role was on The Bold and the Beautiful as Thomas Forrester, a role he stopped playing in 2018. Though he’s no longer on a soap opera, he needs to be on the competition show because of his friendship/rumored relationship with DWTS pro Sharna Burgess. Burgess is one of the only single pros on the show, so their chemistry would be off the charts!
Daytime actors are no strangers to competing on Dancing With the Stars. From past winners like Kelly Monaco and J.R. Martinez to Lisa Rinna, John O’Hurley, and the great Susan Lucci, the competition show has cast some great soap stars.
However, there are a few who have yet to be cast that would be perfect for the show. Whether it’s that they look like real competitors or that they’d be super entertaining, here’s a list of actors and actresses who need to get on the show ASAP!
