Editorial Credibility Framework
All About TV Insider
TV Insider is your go-to source for all things television, providing expert guidance on what’s worth watching each day in the ever-growing TV landscape of broadcast, cable, and streaming.
Readers have come to trust TV Insider as just that — an insider’s perspective on both new and returning shows. Through our industry access, we provide television fans with weekly and daily what-to-watch lists and guides, in-depth series recaps and reviews, breaking news updates, exclusive interviews straight from the source, and much more.
Through years of reported and trustworthy coverage, TV Insider has been a source for many other news outlets, including MSN, Yahoo, People, USA Today, and more.
We love TV as much as our readers, and we know exactly what they’re looking for.
TV Insider’s Editorial Policy
TV Insider’s mission is to help readers discover, understand, and enjoy television with accurate, timely, and engaging coverage.
Our team of experienced journalists and critics adheres to rigorous standards for reporting, reviewing, and updating stories.
What You Can Expect from Us:
- Accurate & Clear Information: We confirm details with networks, streamers, and official representatives. When using external sources, we attribute them clearly.
- Entertainment Expertise: Our editors and writers specialize in television and pop culture — from reviews and recommendations to breaking news
- Current & Transparent: As new information arises, we will react quickly, noting the changes in stories as updates with a time stamp at the top of the article.
- Corrections: For smaller corrections, we will make the change in the story and note that change as an Editor’s Note at the bottom of the page. If you spot an error, we want to hear from you. Visit our Corrections & Updates page for details.
- Consistent Voice: Coverage is written with TV fans in mind: lively, accessible, and rooted in a passion for great storytelling.
Community Guidelines
TV Insider’s comments section is where our readers and fellow TV lovers can come together to discuss their favorite shows and movies, and other entertainment topics covered in our stories. Comments are consistently monitored. Any language we deem inappropriate — from profanity to hate speech and name-calling — will be removed. Any spam and advertising content will also be blocked.
Corrections & Updates
We take accuracy seriously. When we make a mistake, we correct it.
How to Request a Correction:
Email [email protected] or use our Contact Us page. Include the story link and details.
Our Process:
- Editors review requests consistently. Confirmed errors are corrected in the article and noted in an Editor’s Note at the bottom of the page.
- We react quickly as new information is released or revealed, noting the changes in stories as updates with a time stamp marked in bold at the top of the article.
How We Cover TV
Readers come to TV Insider for trusted recommendations and context. Here’s how we approach coverage:
- Reviews & Recommendations: We highlight what’s worth watching based on originality, skill, audience appeal, and relevance. Our guidance is not influenced by outside sources.
- Screeners & Early Access: Advance screeners from networks and streamers help us review shows early, but never determine our opinions.
- Rankings & Lists: Our “best of” lists combine editorial judgment, team debate, and sometimes aggregated data (ratings, social buzz).
Recaps & News: Recaps and news items are fact-checked against episodes, official announcements, and trusted sources. - Advertising & Coverage: Occasionally, a program we would cover editorially may also be supported by an advertising campaign. This can affect timing or placement, but never the editorial standards applied to the story itself. When content is sponsored, we clearly mark it as such.
