Daryl Hannah has always been notoriously private about her relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr., but amid the success of Ryan Murphy‘s new series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, the actress is making rare comments about their time together.

In a scathing new essay for The New York Times, Daryl reflected on her relationship and slammed the show for its portrayal of their romance, which was on-and-off for five years before their 1994 split and John’s eventual romance with Carolyn Bessette.
