MTV Will Start Actually Playing Music Videos 24/7 Again — But There’s a Twist

If you’re part of the MTV generation, you’ve probably complained about how the channel no longer shows music videos. But beginning on September 1, in the week leading up to the 2025 Music Video Awards airing on CBS on September 7, MTV will go back to doing what it once did best: airing videos selected from throughout its 44 year history.
