‘Sanditon’: Charlotte’s Independent Outlook Continues in Season 2 Teaser (VIDEO)
Sanditon is nearly back and PBS’ Masterpiece is giving die-hard viewers more to enjoy leading up to the March 20 Season 2 premiere.
In a new 30-second teaser, Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) returns to the seaside resort town with her sister Alison (Rosie Graham) in tow. And while some things have changed since she was left heartbroken by Sidney Parker (Theo James), Charlotte’s still just as independent when it comes to leading her life.

The teaser promises plenty of conflict between Sir Edward Denham (Jack Fox) and Esther Babington (Charlotte Spencer) as his reputation is threatened. Plus, Georgiana Lambe (Crystal Clarke) must navigate suitors who are eager to benefit from her wealth, “I am besieged by fortune hunters,” she laments.
“You remain stubbornly unwed, I see,” Lady Denham (Anne Reid) acknowledges, calling out Charlotte during a group gathering in the teaser, below. “I believe independence is something to be encouraged,” Charlotte counters, seemingly eager to prove her point.
But will her strong will to remain independent be disrupted by the many potential suitors crossing her path? The promo also teases this and much more, giving fans a little taste of what they can expect from the long-awaited second season.
Don’t miss the continuation of this Jane Austen-inspired tale as Charlotte, Georgiana, and more familiar faces return to Sanditon. Catch thrilling teaser, below, and tune into PBS Masterpiece next month for the premiere.
