This is turning into quite some party! The upcoming 50th anniversary of Days of Our Lives is luring back a busload of Salem fan favorites, including Peter Reckell (Bo), Stephen Nichols (Steve), Martha Madison (Belle), Jason Cook (Shawn-Douglas) and Alison Sweeney (Sami). Now comes word they’ll be joined by the marvelous Emmy Award winner Tamara Braun.

The actress will return to the role that brought her the gold in 2009—Ava Vitali, a pill-popping mob spawn who split town rather than face trial for sabotaging an airplane, an act that led to the death of Grandpa Shawn and two others. Braun also briefly appeared on Days in 2011 as Nicole’s sister, Taylor Walker. Her other memorable suds roles include hellcat Carly Benson on General Hospital and controversial lesbian Reese Williams on All My Children.

A rep for the NBC soap tells us Braun began shooting June 17 and will hit the air December 9. Can. Not. Wait.
