During Season 11 of the Netflix dating experiment, Wilson connected with both Wilnie and Malaine Thorpe. However, once Malaine decided to leave the pods of her own accord — that’s a whole other story — Wilnie joked that she was going to marry Wilson whether he liked it or not. Still, she confessed to Swooon, “It was important for him to have made a choice between her and I.” Because Malaine left early, she never got closure on the unexpected Pod Squad love triangle.

Are Wilnie and Wilson still together?
As of Episode 8, Wilnie and Wilson are still going strong. However, we won’t know if they tie the knot or decide to stay together without taking the leap until the season finale. Right now, Wilnie and Wilson follow each other on Instagram, which is always a good sign when it comes to reality TV couples. That said, they have faced some major tension since they left the pods. During a conversation with Wilnie’s friends, Wilson revealed that he felt like Wilnie had changed since they left the pods.

How did their relationship change outside of the pods?
During Episode 8, Wilson met Wilnie’s friends and oldest sister, Benicile. There, he claimed, “In the pods, [Wilnie] had way more personality. Now she’s just like, ‘Babe, please. I don’t wanna…’ [She] has this helpless attitude towards everything.” He added, “Now I have to work twice as hard.” According to Wilson, in the pods, Wilnie was like, “I’m strong, independent, and I don’t need you.” Now, things look a little different.
Defending herself, Wilnie explained, “I feel like I said in the pods how spoiled I am between my family and friends.” Wilnie’s friends encouraged both of them to create a space for caring for each other in their relationship.
Would Wilson have proposed to Malaine if she stayed?
According to Wilson, he “did see a future with” Malaine. During an exclusive interview with Swooon, he shared, “We related on so many things, like cultural similarities, [our] upbringings [were] similar, the way we wanted to raise our family, and stuff like that.” Still, looking back at when she left the pods without saying goodbye, Wilson told Swooon, “Once she decided to make that decision for herself, I was fine with it.”
What have Wilnie and Wilson said about their relationship?
Looking forward to the rest of the season, Wilnie told Swooon, “We had such a strong emotional connection, and we pride ourselves in being honest with each other, so lots of honest conversations, lots of fun, a lot of silly moments for sure.”
