All About NFL Player Jack Campbell’s Wife Megan & Their Family
Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell suffered a neck injury on November 1 after a fourth-quarter collision with a Minnesota Vikings player. The 26-year-old was taken off the field via stretcher and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Campbell’s wife and son were reportedly present as he was taken to the hospital. “The tunnel entrance is being elevated to allow for an ambulance. Jack’s wife and newborn child have been brought down to field level to join him in the ambulance,” Pride of Detroit writer Al Karsten posted on X. “Scariest moment I’ve ever experienced at Ford Field.”
On November 2, the Lions shared an update on Campbell’s condition. “Jack Campbell continues to rest and recover at a local hospital,” the team wrote on X. “Preliminary indications are positive and out of respect for Jack and his family we will not share further information at this time.”

Who is Jack Campbell’s wife?
Campbell and Megan, who grew up in Mason City, Iowa, first started dating when they were both in college at the University of Iowa. While Campbell played for the Hawkeyes football team, Megan played two seasons on the women’s basketball team. During her junior year, she transferred to Drake, where she started every game and was named MVC Newcomer. She finished her collegiate basketball career upon graduating in 2024.
That same year, Campbell and Megan married. The NFL player proposed almost exactly a year earlier in June 2023. “The best day of our lives surrounded by our family and friends,” Megan wrote of their wedding day on Instagram. “This day was filled with so much laughter and love. Our hearts are filled with gratitude! Here’s to a lifetime with my best friend!!!!”
Shortly after Campbell was drafted by the Lions in 2023, Megan showed her support for her love on Instagram. “So much fun watching this guy’s dream come to life! There is truly no one who deserves it more (iykyk) & I can’t wait for all of the adventures ahead! One pride lets riiideeee,” she wrote.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child in February 2026. “Half of me + half of you!!! Thank you, Lord, for this sweet gift,” they captioned a joint post. A few months later, Campbell signed a four-year, $81 million extension with Detroit. Shortly after, his son was born in July 2026.

Campbell has shown a lot of love for Megan on his social media over the years, with their first post together dating back to 2021. In another, the football player wished her a happy birthday with a heartfelt message. “I can’t think of a better person, surfer, fisherman, or a bigger Cardinals fan,” he wrote on Instagram in 2022. “You have the biggest heart in this world!”
