‘Married at First Sight’ Season 20 Star Reveals Engagement Weeks After Reunion
What To Know
- Caitlin Grimm from Married at First Sight Season 20 announced her engagement on October 13.
- The announcement comes weeks after revealing her new relationship at the August 2026 reunion.
- Caitlin and her fiancé started dating shortly after Season 20 filming ended.
Only one Married at First Sight Season 20 couple stayed together after the experiment, but several revealed they’d found love elsewhere at the August 2026 reunion. Caitlin Grimm was one of them. Weeks later, she’s revealed that she’s headed down the aisle again.
Caitlin, who was matched with ex Devin Short in Season 20, shared a video on October 12 that showed off her engagement ring. In the Instagram post, she walks toward the camera while Taylor Swift‘s “Cleveland” plays. “You only need to find one person in this entire world who doesn’t find you completely insufferable, and I have an important announcement to make… I found mine,” she lip-synced the lyrics.
Caitlin tagged her fiancé, Conrad Nygren, in the post, revealing her new beau’s identity for the first time. Caitlin announced that she was “so in love” with someone new during the August 27 reunion, but didn’t share much more. On September 2, the reality star offered more details about her new relationship on the What’s the Reality? podcast.

Following her appearance at the reunion, which was filmed shortly before it aired on August 27, Caitlin said she’d found her “person.” She explained, “So we started dating in December [2025].” Season 20 was shot from late summer to fall 2025. “We’ve known each other for a really long time. He’s one of my friend’s older brothers, and so we just have intersected our entire lives,” she added.
Caitlin’s now-fiancé had asked her out before they officially started dating. She didn’t want to go there at first, thinking the friend’s brother aspect would be messy. She described why she changed her mind: “And then honestly, after the show, I was in shambles and just thought to myself, ‘Nothing could get worse’… And not that he would be worse, but I could handle a couple awkward birthday parties.”
Weeks earlier, Caitlin and Devin split at the couples’ retreat about a week before Decision Day. Throughout the experiment, their issues stemmed from their different ideal levels of physical and emotional intimacy. The tension boiled over when Devin thought Caitlin was being too flirty with fellow participant Mecca Amen at the retreat. After an explosive argument, Caitlin concluded that she and Devin weren’t compatible and ended their marriage.
In an emotional confessional afterward, Caitlin said the Married at First Sight experience was positive. “It’s also the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my entire life,” she explained. “I’m feeling misunderstood because I am misunderstood. He probably also feels misunderstood. That’s a hard thing to walk away from and not try to work out. He tried so hard but didn’t really see a lot of me for me. I would’ve loved for it to have worked out.”
About a year after her marriage to Devin ended, Caitlin has a different ring on her finger. “I’m so in love with him, and I’m just super excited,” she said on the What’s the Reality? podcast. “Now that [the show] is all done, we can move about the world as normal people because we’ve kind of had to be sequestered a little bit.”
