Are Married at First Sight’s Caitlin and Devin still together?

The 27-year-old professional rugby player and the 28-year-old spin instructor called it quits just ahead of Decision Day, at the couples’ retreat in Episode 18. Unlike Felipe Cruz and Tori Dahl, they didn’t get back together shortly after calling time on their relationship.

Though we have to wait for the full story on where they stand, Caitlin and Devin don’t currently follow each other on Instagram. And in January 2026, Caitlin shared that she’d moved to Montana. Based on his Instagram, it looks like Devin is still based in Seattle.

“I promise whatever happened to you in 2025 mine was crazier,” Caitlin wrote on Instagram when her casting was announced. She later shared photos from the first batch of episodes, including a few of herself with Devin at their ceremony.

Caitlin posted on Instagram that she’d moved to Montana in January 2026, while Devin is still based in Seattle, so it seems like they weren’t able to reconcile.

Why did Married at First Sight‘s Caitlin and Devin break up?

At the couples’ retreat, Devin and Caitlin had issues coming to an agreement about physical intimacy, but things truly turned for the worse when Devin thought Caitlin was being flirty with Mecca Amen. They had an explosive fight about it, and in the aftermath, Devin said he felt like Caitlin spoke disrespectfully toward him. Caitlin explained that she felt constantly nitpicked and overanalyzed by Devin, and though he was a good person, they weren’t compatible. She said the best thing to do was to call it quits.

Devin explained in a confessional afterward, “Putting in the effort and knowing that it failed, it stings a little bit right now, but at the end of the day, I know that I tried, and I’m proud of the effort I put in. I’m disappointed because of how I came into this so ready. Ready to work through it, ready to dive both feet in, and I got someone who’s one toe in. I saw the potential of what this could have been. I think she’s amazing, but you have to let me in and she never let me in.”

Afterwards, viewers saw a tearful Caitlin explain in a confessional that the experience pushed her in positive ways. “It’s also the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my entire life,” she said. “I’m feeling misunderstood because I am misunderstood. He probably also feels misunderstood. That’s a hard thing to walk away from and not try to work out. He tried so hard but didn’t really see a lot of me for me. I would’ve loved for it to have worked out.”

What happened between Caitlin and Devin in Married at First Sight Season 20?

After being paired up by the experts, Devin and Caitlin didn’t hesitate to say “I do.” While viewers saw Caitlin and Devin grow closer and have conversations about their past relationships and future during their honeymoon a few days later, they realized quickly that they were moving at different speeds.

She gave “black cat” energy while Devin was more of a “golden retriever.” Caitlin admitted that she valued her alone time, while Devin expected them to be together and show affection for each other more often. Caitlin said that she wasn’t as in touch with her emotions as Devin. Devin, in turn, felt a standoffish vibe from Caitlin, and the situation worsened when Caitlin went to the gym alone after making a plan to go with her new husband. In Episode 6, Devin and Caitlin addressed the aforementioned issues when they started living together back in Seattle. During a meeting with expert Dr. Lisa Paz, they agreed to work on it and their marriage.

Though Devin admitted he was being too “aggressive” with his approach and Caitlin said walls were coming down, the conflicts continued. At a group therapy session, the experts wondered if Devin was dimming himself for his wife. In Episodes 9 through 12, Caitlin was starting to feel more comfortable around Devin, who in turn blindsided her at a group dinner by saying he didn’t feel connected to Caitlin. In Episodes 13 through 15, things turned around a bit after Caitlin opened up about her past. Still, their breakup came about in Episode 17.
