After sharing a chill conversation about The Fray, John Shannon achieves a Love Is Blind first in Netflix’s new sneak peek of Season 11, which premieres on October 14.
In the pods, the 33-year-old account executive is seen chatting with 34-year-old healthcare program manager Sarah Williams. After he tells her all about his Spotify Wrapped — don’t worry, Sarah, we’ve all been on that date — he tells her that he is “really excited” to chat again. However, when he steps out of the pod, he’s singing a different tune… And forgets to close the door.
From outside the open door, Sarah overhears his whole conversation with another cast member. There, he admits to liking Sarah, while sharing that the experiment overall wasn’t going as expected. He explains, “My bottom two, I talked to.”
After he shuts the door, Sarah walks into the hall, where she tells the ladies, “They’re so stupid. They keep the door open!” She explains, “I overheard him saying I was one of his bottom two.”
Sarah recaps for viewers, “The door to the pod was open, and I overheard John saying that he had spoken to someone he wasn’t that interested in. But then someone asked him how it went, and he said, ‘Good.’ And it was me.”

While John may not be the first to forget to close his pod door, this is the first time a Pod Squad member has been overheard admitting his date (which went well!) wasn’t his top pick.
