‘Finding Her Edge’ Stars Tease New Romance & ‘University’ Dynamic in Season 2

Finding Her Edge is skating back onto our screens before we know it. Ahead of Season 2, the cast has already started to tease what is to come for Adriana (Madelyn Keys), Elise (Alexandra Beaton), and more of the characters this season. (Warning: Season 1 spoilers ahead!)
At the end of Season 1, Adriana chose between her former partner and first love, Freddie (Oliver Atkins), and her new partner, skating bad boy Brayden (Cale Ambrozic). While fans were eager to see her on-ice chemistry with Brayden extend off the rink, she decided to pursue a second chance with Freddie. At the same time, Elise broke off her tumultuous relationship with local hockey star Weston (Aidan Shaw), only for him to start dating Katya (Nicole Volossetski).
During an interview with Popternative, the cast revealed that new characters will deliver even more drama this season. As Ambrozic put it, “I think the new characters that are introduced in Season 2 are some that people will really, really enjoy, or maybe hate. You never know. So, I’m excited for people to meet all the new cast.”
According to Alexandra Beaton, one of these new characters serves as a new love interest for Elise. She shared, “Elise is going through it in an entirely different way in Season 2. She has a new love interest. She is really thinking about becoming a coach; she’s missing skating.” She added, “She has a lot going on right now.”

Later, Beaton revealed more about her mystery love interest, proving that we’ll be seeing this romance take a different trajectory from Elise’s relationship with Weston in Season 1. “As mentioned, she does have a love interest,” Beaton explained. “One that she is actually serious about and not going to cheat on at every second turn. So I think that will be really exciting.
Keys further dove into a new dynamic this season, with Russo Rink under new ownership, fully transforming into Voltage Skating Academy. As she put it, “I think it’s really interesting to be spending more time at Voltage this year. You almost get the university experience for some of these characters, and I think it’s really nice to see these characters age up alongside the fans.”
