Franco Lo Presti is having an incredible year. Heated Rivalry became a global phenomenon, and he’s now been cast as Dante Vitali on the iconic Days of our Lives. And he has a third reason to celebrate — he’s a new dad!
In an exclusive interview with TV Insider, Lo Presti revealed that he and his wife, Emily Alatalo, have welcomed their first child. “My wife gave birth to our daughter, Stella, on August 23rd,” he revealed. “I’m a few weeks fresh as a dad, and it’s been an absolute euphoric experience. My wife and I are just so in love with our little girl.”
Lo Presti and his wife first met as costars in the 2018 holiday film, Christmas Catch. After crossing paths again a few years later, the now-spouses began dating and married in 2023. They also starred alongside each other in the TV series Crossroad Springs.
“The gift of that woman coming into my life through this profession is success to me,” he said. “We’ve harbored such an incredible relationship and marriage, and now having a daughter has been one of the greatest gifts I could ask for, along with the success of working and being able to play these characters and tell these stories.”

The past year and the birth of his daughter has given the actor the opportunity to reflect on his life and career. “What I’ve learned is that with patience, putting my head down and doing the work, eventually it will come through,” he told TV Insider. “So, with that said, being a dad and being able to work feels so rich right now in terms of everything that I have. It feels incredible. I just try to stay humble and be in the moment and whatever will be, will be. I’ve just been very lucky.”
Lo Presti played Cliff Marleau, one of Ilya Rozanov’s (Connor Storrie) teammates, in the first season of the hit hockey romance. His run as Dante on DAYS will start on September 14.
