Did Jimmy Kimmel name his son after Guillermo?
Yes, Kimmel named his youngest son, William “Billy” Kimmel, after Guillermo, as Guillermo is the Spanish form of the name William.
Billy had open-heart surgery when he was just three days old, Kimmel revealed during a 2017 monologue on his show. “A very attentive nurse at Cedars-Sinai heard a murmur in his heart and noticed he was a bit purple, which is not common,” Kimmel shared, adding that nurses realized Billy wasn’t getting enough oxygen to his heart and lungs.
A surgeon confirmed that Billy had a “hole in the wall of the left and right side of his heart” due to being born with a congenital heart condition. He had a second surgery at seven months old and another when he was seven years old.
