She’s really good, and he’s Shane Gray, for crying out loud! The only question is: Are Camp Rock‘s Mitchie and Shane still together? Camp Rock 3 just gave us a definitive answer about the power couple.
On August 13, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas returned to the Camp Rock universe, reprising their roles as Mitchie Torres and Shane Gray for Camp Rock 3. The film, which follows a group of campers competing to be Connect 3’s opening act, introduces a new young cast while bringing back the Disney Legends who fans know and love. While the Jonas Brothers were all confirmed to star in the sequel when it was announced, Lovato’s cameo was not revealed until the day of the world premiere. (Warning: Camp Rock 3 spoilers ahead!)

Do Shane and Mitchie end up together?
As teens, this duo “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” about their relationship. Clearly something changed along the way, because Lovato’s cameo at Final Jam confirms that Shane and Mitchie’s relationship ended long ago. When Mitchie crashes the Final Jam, she crosses paths with Connect 3, telling them, “Don’t tell me you guys still can’t agree on anything.” Without seeing her, Shane says, “No way.” That’s not someone’s reaction to seeing their partner of 18 years.
When announcing the winner of Final Jam, Nate refers to Mitchie as “an old friend.” Later, Mitchie and Shane chat on the wing of the stage, where Shane tells her, “This place is still magical.” In response, Mitchie tells him, “Guess something’s never change.” Then, Shane asks, “So, same time next summer?” Mitchie tells him, “You’re on.”

Are Nate and Dana still together?
Camp Rock 3 makes no mention of Nate’s (Nick Jonas) love life or Camp Star. For that reason, we’d assume Nate’s romance with Dana (Chloe Bridges), the daughter of Camp Rock’s rival camp’s owner from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, has ended. Guess Nate has to “introduce” himself to someone new. Does he still like cheese, but only on pizza and sometimes on a homemade quesadilla?
Is Jason in a relationship?
While the third member of Connect 3’s greatest romance in the original two movies was his love of birdhouse-making, he appears to be married in the new movie. While we don’t meet Jason’s (Kevin Jonas) partner, so they could have split for all we know, he brings around his baby Lennon McCartney everywhere he goes.

Are there any new camper romances?
None of the new campers start dating officially during Camp Rock 3. That said, sparks clearly fly between Sage (Liamani Segura) and Fletch (Malachi Barton). After all, he noticed that her nose crinkles when she smiles! If that isn’t young love, we don’t know what is.
Don’t think we didn’t catch a vibe between Desi (Hudson Stone) and Callie (Brooklynn Pitts), as well as Rosie (Lumi Pollack) and Cliff (Casey Trotter). Guess we’re going to need a Camp Rock 4 to resolve these blossoming love stories!
