Tony Becker

Tony Becker is a character actor who had a busy early career in his pre-teen and teen years and has managed to remain active well into adulthood, if mainly on well under-the-radar productions. The son of an acting couple -- his father Kenneth appeared in four Elvis Presley films -- Becker's first recurring part was a lead on the short-lived television comedy "The Texas Wheelers," in 1974 and 1975, co-starring Gary Busey and Mark Hamill.. At age 14, he starred as the title character in the family movie "Cody," and at 17, he began an eight episode stint as Drew Cutler on the family series "The Waltons," reprising his role in the TV movie "A Wedding on Walton's Mountain."

At age 20, Becker initiated both the adult as well as the military-heavy portion of his career, beginning with a supporting role as a private on the single-season drama "For Love and Honor," starring Cliff Potts and Yaphet Kotto. In 1987, he was cast as Corporal Danny Percell, one of the stars of the Vietnam-era CBS drama "Tour of Duty," which had a moderately successful three-season run, more than a decade before HBO found more critical success with war-based series like "Band of Brothers." Becker's acting load in the '90s was fairly light, save three "Waltons" reunion movies and a few other TV guest appearances. His 2000s, were busier with a notable role as a lieutenant in the 2000 Dolph Lundgren-starring action flick, "Agent Red."
