Tanya Simon is the executive producer of “60 Minutes,” and the first woman in that role. With a remarkable 25-year tenure at the iconic newsmagazine, she was promoted from interim executive producer (as of April 2025) and former executive editor (since 2019). She began her CBS News career in 1996 as a researcher for “48 Hours,” advancing to producer before joining “60 Minutes” in 2000.
Over the years she spearheaded numerous high-impact stories and exclusive interviews, including pieces on 9/11, the Duke lacrosse case, Julian Assange, Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, Lance Armstrong’s doping, and profiles of Eminem and Shaun White.
