Larry Strickland is an American singer and former backup vocalist for Elvis Presley, best known publicly as the husband of country music star Naomi Judd. Born in North Carolina, Strickland began his music career in gospel quartets before joining Elvis Presley’s touring ensemble in the 1970s as part of The Stamps Quartet. His deep bass voice and southern gospel background contributed to his long-running presence in the music industry.
Strickland married Naomi Judd in 1989, and the two remained together until her death in 2022. In the years since, he has spoken publicly about her struggles with mental illness and has continued to be involved in preserving her legacy, occasionally appearing at memorials and in interviews.
