James DeBarge

James DeBarge is an American R&B and soul singer best known as a member of the family music group DeBarge, which had several hits in the 1980s including "Rhythm of the Night" and "All This Love."

Born on August 22, 1963, he is part of the large DeBarge musical family from Detroit. James gained additional notoriety for his brief marriage to Janet Jackson in 1984, which was annulled less than a year later. His career was later overshadowed by legal and personal troubles, including struggles with substance abuse.
