Gillian Burke

Gillian Burke is a biologist, natural history television presenter, producer, and voiceover artist. Born in Kenya, she pursued a degree in biology at Bristol University. Her career began behind the camera as a researcher for the BBC's Natural History Unit, eventually advancing to roles as a producer and director on various series for Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel.

In 2017, Gillian transitioned to on-screen presenting, becoming a regular co-presenter on the BBC's "Springwatch" series, along with its seasonal spin-offs "Autumnwatch" and "Winterwatch."

Gillian's multicultural heritage includes Afro-Trinidadian, Seminole, Mauritian, and Somalian roots. She spent her early years near Nairobi, Kenya, before moving to Vienna at age ten, where she learned German. Currently, she resides in Cornwall with her two children. ​
