Drita D’Avanzo

Drita D’Avanzo is best known as one of the original cast members of the reality TV series "Mob Wives," which aired on VH1 from 2011 to 2016. The show followed the lives of women connected to men involved in organized crime in Staten Island, New York. Drita quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her tough, outspoken personality and fiery temper, which led to plenty of memorable confrontations and drama on the show.

Born Drita Selmani in Albania and raised in Staten Island, Drita married Lee D’Avanzo, who has been associated with the New York mob scene and spent several periods in prison. Her storylines often revolved around raising her two daughters while her husband was incarcerated and trying to build her own identity apart from the mob lifestyle. Outside of "Mob Wives," Drita has worked as a makeup artist and launched her own cosmetics line. Her blunt attitude and resilience made her one of the breakout stars of the series, and she remains popular with fans of the show even after its end.
