During Love Is Blind Season 11, Aneha Singh revealed that she wants to be a “traditional modern woman” in her marriage to Cam Halloran, or any future spouse. Defining the phrase, she admitted to Swooon, “Maybe some people won’t agree with this, but hey, I’m gonna own it. This is who I am.”
Calling herself a “traditional modern woman,” Aneha explained in Episode 9, “When it comes to money, I like my partner to be the main person. Just because I have my own doesn’t mean I wanna use my own, and I would want my man to not want me to use my own.” Of course, we had to ask Aneha to dive deeper into her “traditional modern” theory.
Breaking down the dichotomy between her traditional and modern sides, she explained to Swooon, “I like some gender roles. I won’t lie, right? I like to cook and to clean for my man. I think if he’s bringing some bread, I want to reward that. I want to be there for that, and I want to take care of my man in that type of way.” As she put it, “That’s one of my love languages.”
She continued, “I also traditionally like for the man to make more money than the woman; that’s what I grew up [with].” According to the Love Is Blind Boston star, her dad worked while her mom stayed home, watching the kids and doing household chores as a “homemaker.”

As for her modern side, she admitted, as an engineer, “I never saw myself being a household mother — a homemaker — because my passion for my research is so strong. I love what I do, and I want to work. I want to make my own money, too. I want to be ambitious, and I have goals set for myself as well.”
Ultimately, “the traditional modern side” comes down to maintaining her career while her spouse provides for her. Will Cam be her “traditional modern” man? Only time will tell!
