‘Love Is Blind’: Get to Know Beekeeper & Single Dad Matt Waldrip
While he didn’t end up getting engaged in the pods, it’s clear that the entire Pod Squad is obsessed with “the beekeeper.”
The first Love Is Blind Season 11 cast get-together back in Boston has finally arrived, with multiple engaged cast members meeting their other connections from the pods for the first time face-to-face. While we expected to see Malaine Thorpe, Diana Perrone, Benita Paloja, and other major players in the pod love triangles, one unexpected returnee was Matt Waldrip, a single dad who connected with Michaella Giorgio before she got engaged to Rob Feeley.

Who is Love Is Blind‘s Matt Waldrip?
At 37 years old, Matt joined the cast of Love Is Blind and revealed he is looking for someone “trustworthy, affectionate, and playful” to enter his life. According to Netflix, “Matt is a cancer survivor, whose friends and family describe him as ‘resilient,’ a characteristic he’d like to carry into his love life.” Based on his social media presence, he is also an avid chef and wildlife enthusiast. Oh, and in case you missed it, he’s a beekeeper.

What is Matt’s job?
Matt is the Manager of Licensing & Permitting for Eversource, a residential energy company. He attended Westfield State University, where he majored in environmental science and regional planning. Then, he went to Fitchburg State, where he earned his master’s degree. Of course, fans know that Matt’s side hustle is beekeeping, which he learned from his mother. He told Business West, “She’s been a beekeeper for years. I just got kind of hooked into it as I realized how beneficial bees are to the environment.”
Does Matt have kids?
Matt is also a single dad with an eight-year-old son. He told Netflix, “He’s the greatest thing in my life, so that’s going to be a big consideration in who I decide to date in the pods.” Much like many previous Love Is Blind stars, he doesn’t show his son’s face on social media.

Who did Matt connect with in the pods?
According to Michaella, Matt was her second-best connection in the pods. While they just reunited as friends at the Pod Squad get-together, it was clear that her fiancé, Rob, was not thrilled that he was back in her life.
