Warning: The following post contains discussions of a child’s death.
Controversial pro boxer Mike Tyson is the subject of Netflix’s latest docuseries, Tyson, which explores his turbulent career, scandals, and personal life. The undefeated heavyweight champion has been married three times and fathered seven children.
Several of his children — including Miki, Ramsey, Amir, Miguel, Milan, and Morocco — recall the ups and downs of growing up with Mike Tyson as their father in the documentary. Mike, his current wife Lakiha “Kiki” Spicer, and his son Miguel also recount the death of 4-year-old Exodus Tyson in 2009, after which Mike’s struggles with addiction continued.
“My wife, my babies, they can’t stop me from doing that,” Mike said in the docuseries. “I have to want to stop. There’s no reason that could stop me from killing myself or hurting myself if I don’t want it to stop… That’s just how my brain works.”

Miki Tyson
Michael “Miki” Tyson was born in July 1990 to Mike and his now-ex, Kimberly Scarborough.
“He’s the only father I’ve ever known, so I have no other base of comparison,” Miki told Queen Size Magazine in 2016. “My life has been extremely blessed because of my father, and I just want to acknowledge him as the great dad he has always been.”
Then, Miki was pursuing a career as a plus-size model, but she’s pivoted to music in recent years. In October 2024, Miki released a song titled “Love Me Again,” and Mike gave her a shoutout on Instagram. “My daughter @missmikityson ‘s new song. So proud,” he wrote in the caption. “She’s an incredible writer and singer. Make sure you follow her page for more music.”
In the documentary, Miki said that it’s been rewarding to see her dad become a more involved father lately. “He accepts himself more as a normal person in a family, but I don’t think he’ll ever really have closure,” she said.
Ramsey Tyson
In February 1996, Mike and his then-girlfriend, Dr. Monica Turner, welcomed Ramsey Tyson. A filmmaker who graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2018, Ramsey is transmasculine and nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, according to a 2020 Them interview. At the time, they discussed talking “about gender identity very briefly” with their dad in the past. Ramsey explained that that they weren’t “super close” with their father at the time.

Miguel Tyson
In April 2002, Mike and ex Sol Xochitl welcomed their son, Miguel, in April 2002. Miguel grew up in Phoenix with his mom and his younger sister, Exodus, who died when he was 7 years old.
After attending the University of Southern California, Miguel became a travel photographer. “Because of my innate passion for exploring life on earth, I spend my time capturing the beauty of the world in unique and creative ways,” he wrote on his website. “Whether I’m working with companies internationally or on a personal endeavor, my goal with my work is to break physical, mental, and scientific boundaries that ultimately give people a deeper connection of our world’s nature, culture, and life. ”
Miguel appears in his dad’s new docuseries, in which he discusses his childhood and relationship with his father. “I think he’s just so broken from his past that he is probably beyond fixing,” he explained in Episode 4. “But I know inside there, there’s a broken guy just trying to be a good father.”
Working alongside his dad, Miguel is the director of the Tyson Foundation, which is “committed to giving underserved communities a fighting chance at a better way of life.”
Exodus Tyson
Mike and Sol welcomed Exodus in 2005. The docuseries covers Exodus’ tragic death on May 26, 2009. “A friend picked up the phone and said, Mike, we have to go to Phoenix. Exodus hurt herself,” Tyson recalled in an interview.
Miguel said his sister’s death is one of his first memories. “That day, me and Exodus got up early,” he explained in Tyson. “We were hanging out together, drawing. And then we turn on Spongebob in the other room, just to have some background noise and focus on my drawing. And I said, ‘Just go play in the other room’ or something like that. Usually she would always come back. She’d bother you as little sisters do with older brothers.”
Miguel said that his mom woke up an hour later, asking him to get Exodus for breakfast. “And I walk [into the room next door], and I look to my right, and I just see the treadmill cord and my sister just hanging from it,” he said in the documentary series. “Neck electrocuted and blood. And I just walk calmly to the next room and just tell my mom, ‘Mom, Exodus is dead.'” Exodus was placed on life support and died at the hospital following the accidental hanging.
Mike told Reuters that he didn’t know how to handle Exodus’ death. “I have become a member of an exclusive club no one wants to join,” he said. “I have been told the pain never stops, but you get over it.”
Milan Tyson
Mike shares Milan with his wife, Spicer, whom he married in 2009. Milan was born in December 2008. Now a teenager based in Los Angeles and Florida, per her Instagram, Milan is an aspiring tennis pro. She’s even trained with Serena Williams‘ former coach Patrick Mouratoglou, per People.
“Of course, she hits the ball like a savage,” Milan’s dad told FightCamp in 2022. “I’m just happy that she’s doing something that she likes … I’m just happy. I’m proud of her.”
Spicer spoke about her husband’s involvement in their kids’ lives in the new docuseries. “To see Mike not just be physically present with the kids, but being present with them emotionally, it’s a real gift. It’s funny, Mike hasn’t changed. He’s just evolved,” she said.
