All About ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Star Nigel, His Polyamorous Relationship & More
During Episode 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 8, fans were introduced to Nigel, an eccentric Aussie who practices ethical non-monogamy with his girlfriend, Andi Jane.
Ahead of the season, TLC teased, “While Andi thrives on ambition, structure, and planning, Nigel embraces a laid-back, nomadic lifestyle with few long-term commitments. Their contrasting approaches to life aren’t the only source of tension.” While Nigel is very into his polyamorous lifestyle, the network explains, “The couple’s ethical non-monogamous relationship looks very different through each of their eyes, and disagreements over children and fertility may push them to a breaking point.”
Now that Nigel has made his 90 Day Fiancé debut, we’re taking a deep dive into his life, relationship with Andi Jane, and more.
Who is 90 Day Fiancé‘s Nigel?
According to Nigel’s Instagram, he is a “First Nations DJ/Drummer based in Meanjin/Brisbane” and an event organizer. As his friend Chris put it, “Whenever I see Nigel, I see a big, goofy smile, and he’s always excited about something… He’s a big child, is what he is. He’s always looking for something to play.”
What is Nigel’s job?
Nigel seems to be a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. During the second episode of the season, he revealed, “A few years ago I ended up getting a gig being a superhero for kids’ birthday parties. I was also a pirate and a few other characters.” As he put it, “You don’t do it for the money, man. You do it for the love. I consider life to be a permanent vacation.” He also revealed that he is a drummer and was in the Air Force.

How did Nigel and Andi Jane meet?
During a previous episode, Andi Jane revealed that she met Nigel by chance, and then he almost immediately invited her to visit a beach in Mexico for their second date. As Nigel put it, “I never saw myself ending up with an American woman. It’s wild because I literally travelled across the country and Andi’s the only woman I really connected with.”
He explained, “My first impression of Andi is that she’s very tall, and she’s a cool chick, easy to talk to. She’s beautiful, with sparkly blue eyes. She’s very kind and genuine, and I really feel honored that she’s choosing to move in with me and start a life together.”
Who is Nigel’s ex-wife?
Right now, Nigel has not revealed who his ex-wife is. However, he has revealed why they split. He told viewers, “I’ve always done all right with the ladies. I had girlfriends when I was in high school and met my ex-wife when I was about 21. We got together so young, and then we developed very separate worldviews and wanted different things out of life, and our marriage fell apart.”
Who is Nigel’s ‘Camping Girl’?
According to Nigel, after his divorce he got into ethical non-monogamy. He explained, “I’ve really spread my wings, going to different kinds of festivals and places, and I’ve discovered this entire polyamorous community… When I met Andi, we were both on the same page with wanting to practice ethical non-monogamy.”
While Nigel’s hoping to be non-monogamous for life, Andi has made it clear that she does not feel the same way. She specifically brought up a woman who Nigel was growing closer to, referring to her as his “Camping Girl.” Nigel claimed, “I think she was a bit surprised that maybe I was getting more tail than she was, in the whole time that we were apart.”
Talking specifically about “Camping Girl,” he revealed, “I was performing at a festival, and I had a plus one, and I was going to take one of my playmates along and go camping at the showgrounds… We’ve been in the same sort of friendship group for a little while, and we hooked up recently at a festival. She’s great, she’s really fun, and it’s kind of annoying that Andi shut that down because it was something that was well within our agreement.”
