Christina Mandrell and Brayden Bowers are opening up about the next chapter of their relationship.
Earlier this year, the Bachelor Nation couple shared via social media that they were trying to conceive. The former reality stars posted an update on October 7, appearing in a video together on Mandrell’s Instagram account. In it, they react to a series of negative pregnancy tests.
“Since so many of you have asked… We’ve been trying since April, and I know that’s nothing compared to the women who’ve been doing this for years,” The Bachelor Season 27 contestant wrote in the caption. “My heart is with you. Wanting something this badly and not knowing why your body won’t cooperate is its own kind of hurt. If you’re in it too, I see you.”

Fellow Bachelor Nation stars expressed their support for the couple in the comments section, including The Bachelorette’s Trista Sutter. “I so remember those moments in my own journey. Big hugs,” she wrote. Bachelor in Paradise alum Jade Roper Tolbert also left a message for Mandrell: “Love you.”
Several fans shared similar sentiments and added their own TTC journeys. “It took me 9 months & I would feel guilty for letting it rock my world because I know it takes people longer but there is no time that makes it hurt less,” says one comment. “It sucks, but just trust in god because when it does happen it all makes sense why it didn’t happen overnight. Praying for you.”
Bowers and Mandrell, who are now 28 and 31 years old, respectively, got engaged during Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist‘s Golden Wedding special in January 2024. Mandrell appeared in briefly in Season 27 of The Bachelor with Zach Shallcross, while Bowers was a contestant on Charity Lawson‘s season of The Bachelorette that same year. Following his elimination on Bachelor in Paradise Season 9, Bowers revealed during the December 2023 finale that he and Mandrell began dating after filming.
Bowers proposed to Mandrell on TV about a month later. “Christina, from the moment that I picked you up from the airport with your crazy ass rose and your fake disguise, I just knew that there was something special and there was something different,” Bowers said before popping the question. “For the first time in my life, I feel like I found someone that I can be myself with unapologetically, and I have no doubts that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Bowers and Mandrell held a secret wedding in December 2024, later sharing a video from their ceremony on Bachelor Nation’s social media.“We just got a marriage license. Nobody knows!” Bowers said while his bride-to-be added, “Engagement was much different. Everybody knew … Nobody knows except for the people driving by when we get married in the gazebo.”
