His wife, Olivia Carter, has been by his side amid the rehabilitation and is now back to cheering on the Atlanta Falcons quarterback on the field.

Who is Michael Penix Jr.’s wife?
Carter is a 2022 graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and was on the soccer team for all four years of school.
Per her Instagram bio, Carter splits time between Seattle and Atlanta. She appears to be enjoying WAG life these days, and her LinkedIn does not list a current job.
How did Michael Penix Jr. meet his wife?
Penix and Carter met during the pro athlete’s time at the University of Washington (he graduated in 2024). Carter, meanwhile, is from Washington and moved back home after graduating from college in 2022. While it’s unclear exactly when she and Penix started dating or how they officially met, they began posting photos together on Instagram at the end of 2023.

The couple got engaged at the end of 2024 and tied the knot in May 2026, less than six months after Penix popped the question.
Does Michael Penix Jr. have kids?
Penix and Carter announced on October 3 that they are expecting their first child. Carter captioned a joint Instagram post, “Upgraded to mom and dad.”
A clip in the video revealed that the baby is due in spring 2027. The announcement video featured photos and videos of Carter’s baby bump on display in a tight white dress.
