‘Gold Rush’: Who Is Tony Beets’ Wife? All About His Marriage to Minnie Beets
Tony Beets and his family-run mining company have been featured on Gold Rush since Season 2. Over the years, fans have gotten to know not only Tony, but his wife, Minnie Beets, as well as other family members who are often featured on the Discovery Channel show.

How did Tony and Minnie Beets meet?
Tony and Minnie met when they were children living in Holland. When Minnie was six years old, Tony, who was seven at the time, and his family moved in next door.
After years of friendship, Tony and Minnie started dating when she was 20. But two years later, he was ready to leave Holland for Canada. “He thought he was going to go by himself. I go, ‘No, no no, that’s not how that works,'” Minnie revealed. “So then we started planning it together.”
The two tied the knot in Holland in 1984 before making the move to Canada together. Then they started building their business and started their family together. Now, they have been married for more than 40 years.
What does Minnie Beets do for a living?
Minnie is the bookkeeper for Tony’s mining operation. She has been referred to as the “backbone” of the business. According to her Discovery Channel bio, Minnie “controls the purse strings tightly, and frequently argues with Tony over the fortune he is pouring into the dredges.”
Tony and Minnie told Monsters & Critics in 2019 that they have no plans to retire. “I think we have the perfect life,” she admitted. “We work seven months and then we are off for five. It’s great.”
How many kids does Tony Beets have?
Tony and Minnie are parents to four children. Three of their kids, Monica Beets, Mike Beets, and Kevin Beets, work for the mining operation and appear on Gold Rush, while daughter Bianca Beets has chosen to live a more private life.
The couple opened up to Monsters & Critics about their children’s individual strengths for the business. “Kevin, he is good as a mechanic,” Minnie shared. “He doesn’t let up until he fixes it. Mike, he’s really, really, really good on equipment.”
Tony added that Monica is a “good match between the two boys” and said she “keeps them all nice and in line.”
The Beets’ have at least two grandchildren, as well. Bianca’s son, Eagan, works for the family business, while Monica’s daughter, Jasmine, is also often featured on the show.
