’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Preview: Niles Keeps a Major Secret From Matilda
When viewers last saw Niles and Matilda, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days couple parted ways after their wedding in Ghana, with Niles promising that he would get Matilda to the United States in less than a year. Now, the 90 Day Fiancé couple is returning for Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, and Niles has a new plan for their future. The only problem is that he hasn’t told Matilda yet.
In Swooon‘s exclusive preview of the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 8 premiere, Niles reveals to his friend that he is planning on moving to Ghana. In the first look, his friend asks, “What does she think about it, that you are planning to move there and set down roots?” As Niles puts it, “I should probably at some point tell her I want to put roots down in Ghana. I definitely didn’t tell her that.”
According to Niles, he’s worried that Matilda’s quick temper could cause a rift in their relationship when he tells her. For that reason, he’d prefer to have the conversation in person. His friend asks, “Are you just going to, like, go over there and then you’re going to be like, ‘Oh, by the way, I’m living here now.'” Niles response? “That does sound pretty stupid, doesn’t it?”
Talking to the audience, his friend explains, “I cannot believe that he has not [told] Matilda that he is outright planning to move there. What’s wrong with you? Talk to your wife, please!”

Niles admits, “When I know someone’s going to have a bad reaction, I don’t always tell the full, whole truth.” He then confesses, “Matilda and I, we’ve been arguing about how much time we’ve been apart. You know, how long the visa process is taken. I promised her I would never lie to her.”
That said, he explains, “If she blows up, I would rather be right there face to face, have her let it all out, and then I’ll explain my reasoning.”
