‘The Amazing Race’: Who Is Ali Krieger’s Girlfriend? All About Her Love Life
From the soccer field to a race around the world! Ali Krieger is competing on Season 39 of The Amazing Race with her former teammate and longtime friend Joanna Lohman.
Back at home, Ali has been in a relationship with Jen Beattie since 2024. Their romance began about a year after Ali’s now ex-wife, Ashlyn Harris, filed for divorce. Scroll down for everything we know about the soccer player’s new romance and her split from her former longtime love.
Who is Jen Beattie?
Jen is a Scottish former professional soccer player. She played for Arsenal FC and the Scotland National Team, among other football clubs in Europe. Jen retired from professional soccer in January 2023 and is now a soccer analyst for CBS Sports.
Ali and Jen went public with their relationship in November 2024, although Ali had revealed four months earlier that she was dating someone new. “I’m dating a wonderful person right now, who I really, really like,” she said on the She Pivots podcast in July 2024. “I’m, you know, so grateful that we met.”
Before dating Ali, Jen was in a relationship with Amber Gill, who won Love Island UK in 2019. They dated for about a year before their 2023 split.
Jen is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in 2020 at age 29 after discovering a lump and having surgery to remove it. While undergoing treatment, Jen was still playing professional soccer.
Does Ali Krieger have kids?
Yes, during the course of their marriage, Ali and Ashlyn adopted two children. They announced the adoption of their daughter, Sloane, in February 2021, followed by son Ocean in August 2022.

The exes share joint custody of the children. They are now coparenting the kids together. “We always make sure we tell our children they get the best of two worlds,” Ashlyn told E! in 2025. “It’s not this or that. Everything that the kids get to do, they get to do it twice. Everything is doubled, and I think it’s exciting for them.”
What happened between Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger?
Ali and Ashlyn met in 2010 and, after years of friendship, quietly started dating. They didn’t publicly confirm their romance, though, until they announced their engagement in March 2019. (Ashlyn had proposed six months earlier.)
From there, they quickly tied the knot in December 2019, only to split less than four years later in September 2023. Just days after that, Ashlyn was linked to actress Sophia Bush, who had recently separated from her husband, Grant Hughes. Ashlyn and Sophia tied the knot in 2025.
During a 2024 appearance on the Naked Sports podcast, Ashlyn claimed she stopped feeling like a priority in her marriage to Ali and hinted that lack of intimacy was one of the reasons for the breakup. “I didn’t know how to tell people that, like, oh, my wife doesn’t want to touch me,” Ashlyn admitted.

“I think she loved the game so much and all she knew was how to sacrifice her life for the game,” Ashlyn said of her ex-wife. “Then when you add children, which is a whole different layer, I just felt like I wasn’t a priority.” She said she suggested an open marriage to save the relationship, only to realize that wasn’t even what she wanted either, and revealed that she moved out at the beginning of summer 2023.
Ashlyn also briefly addressed the narrative that played out publicly, which was that her relationship with Sophia was the reason her marriage ended. “People think only one person was in pain or people think you have to choose a side that, you know, you have to really punish this person because the idea you had through so social media didn’t manage your expectations,” Ashlyn said. “However, you haven’t lived my experience.”
Ali, meanwhile, told Self that she was blindsided by her ex’s divorce filing, adding that she found out while she was at practice and was “devastated” by it.
In response to Ashlyn’s 2024 interview, she wrote on her Instagram Story, “I’m overwhelmed and grateful by the outpouring of love and support I’ve received this year. However, amidst this warmth, I’ve also had to confront a wave of dishonesty and misinformation regarding my marriage and personal life. While I’m not yet prepared to make a formal statement, I feel compelled to address this currently to prevent further distortion of the truth.”
She continued, “Above all else, my unwavering priority remains the protection and well-being of my children. I promise to share more when my heart feels ready. In this vulnerable time, I humbly ask for privacy and understanding from all involved, as I grapple with the profound changes in my personal life.”
Ashlyn acknowledged that she “hurt” Ali with the way things went down, and told Us Weekly in 2026, “You try and you try and you try and you keep trying to make it work and you don’t want to fail. You don’t want to give up. But also, life is really short and really long at the same time. I get one shot at this. There’s no second act. If I’m feeling this way in my 30s and I’m so unhappy that I don’t want to get out of bed, am I really serving her and my children and my friends and myself?”
