Two years before Erika Hammond joined Season 16 of The Real Housewives of New York City, she made headlines for her extremely lavish wedding to husband Ankur Jain. In April 2024, the couple tied the knot at the base of the Great Pyramids in Egypt.

Now, their relationship is back in the spotlight on RHONY, and from Hammond’s Bravo bio, it seems that their wealth will be highlighted on the show. “[She has] built a life surrounded by extraordinary luxury complete with her own private island, where she whisks the women away for a one-of-a-kind getaway,” the bio reads.

Below, we rounded up everything to know about Jain’s company and billionaire status, as well as his relationship with the new Bravo star. Scroll down for more.

What does Erika Hammond’s husband do for a living?

Jain is an entrepreneur and investor who is the founder and CEO of Bilt Rewards, a company that allows users to earn points on rent. Per Jain’s website, the company has grown to a valuation of $1.5 billion since it launched in June 2021.

He was previously the chief product officer at Tinder, a dating app that acquired his company, Humin. In 2017, he founded Kairos, “a venture studio for young entrepreneurs that helped launch and grow its partner companies to over $6.5 billion.”

According to Forbes, Jain’s net worth is estimated at $3.4 billion. He attended the University of Pennsylvania’s business school.

How did Erika Hammond meet her husband?

Hammond and Jain met when he took one of her Rumble Boxing classes in New York City. “He started coming to my class a few years before we actually went on our first date,” Hammond said on the Love Stories TV podcast. “We were both in different relationships at the time, but he was on my VIP list, so I’d call him out, like, ‘Ankur, you’re doing great!'”

Then, a few years later, in December 2019, they happened to be taking the same workout class, and he asked her out. “I was so sweaty, and he was like, ‘Do you want to go to drinks after?'” she recalled. “I don’t bring things to shower and change into; I just go home. I was like, ‘Yeah, I guess.’ I’m, like, in sweats.”

After that, they “went on a few dates,” but the relationship was “expedited” by the COVID-19 pandemic. “We just FaceTimed every single day,” she explained. “We both left New York. His family has a house in the British Virgin Islands, and my family lived in the Bahamas. But they weren’t close enough [to hang out].”

Three months of FaceTiming later, Hammond realized, “I think I love this guy!” They got engaged ahead of the 2022 holiday season.

Does Erika Hammond have kids?

No, Hammond and Jain do not have children, and she has opened up about their fertility struggles.

“Before Ankur and I got married, we knew we wanted to have kids,” Hammond said on RHONY. “But I have these growths on my liver that grow with estrogen. My doctors were like, ‘We really suggest that you don’t carry your own children. The risks are way too high.’”

Because of this suggestion, Hammond and Jain looked into surrogacy. “There’s so many unknowns,” she admitted. “It’s a crazy process. I don’t love it. But, like, it’s something that a lot of us women are doing now to have our own children.”
