However, the show has provided her with something even more important than the shiny trophy: a life partner. In 2022, she was partnered with Daniel Durant, a deaf actor known for his role in the Oscar-winning movie CODA. They started dating and tied the knot in August 2025.

Yes, Stewart and Durant are still together. They celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary in August 2026 with a joint Instagram post captioned, “One year married and forever to go 08.23.2025.”
The relationship began after Durant’s DWTS journey ended in 2022. “We were sitting in a trailer,” he recalled. “We couldn’t imagine not seeing each other anymore. No. It was at that time we realized we were more than friends. We started a relationship after that and lived together in an apartment, and the rest is history.”

After keeping the romance under wraps for a few months, they went public on Valentine’s Day 2023 with an Instagram post. Durant proposed on Christmas later that year.
Does Britt Stewart know ASL?
Yes, Stewart learned ASL while she and Durant were partnered together on DWTS. They have said that this helped them connect on a deeper level quickly because they did not have to rely on an interpreter for most of the competition.
“She picked up ASL very fast. It’s not normal,” Durant said. “I’ve never seen anyone like that before. We relied on an interpreter at first, but by the second week, we could communicate on our own. That’s where our friendship grew.”

No, Stewart and Durant don’t have children, but they have openly discussed their plans to expand their family one day.
“Hands down the best part about meeting on TV is we have footage of meeting each other for the first time,” they told People in a February 2026 interview. “We can’t wait to be able to show our kids in the future the exact moment we met.”
