‘Crew Girl’ Is Returning for Season 2: Everything We Know So Far
Looks like the Easton Prep Girls’ Crew Team is officially rowing onto our screens for Season 2!
On September 22, Netflix revealed that Crew Girl has been renewed for a second season. Our very own Teagan, Miku Martineau, shared, “I am beyond excited for Crew Girl Season 2! There’s so much left to explore with the characters, the romances, and the rowing team, it’s going to be a ride for sure! All I know is that it will definitely be a packed, juicy, drama-filled second season, so I’m ready to get back in a boat and on camera! #teamteagan”
Season 1 dives (okay, rows) into the drama Teagan (Martineau) gets involved in at Easton Prep. She’s forced to join the all-boys rowing team, and as she tries to get them into shape, she finds herself in a messy love triangle with cocky captain Josh (Samuel Braun) and steady underdog Cam (Kyle Clark). Over the course of the season, Teagan explores her connection with both guys while trying to lead her team to victory.
The finale left things on a bit of a cliffhanger. Josh steps back from pursuing Teagan, deciding that he needs to work on himself before anything can happen. He also comes clean about his heart condition, planning to take a break from rowing to get surgery. Moments later, Cam — who finally sat in the stroke seat during the championship competition — and Teagan kiss. Another bombshell? A rowing team for girls will form at Easton after all.
The finale sets things up for a follow-up season, and now we can rest knowing that Crew Girl has been renewed for Season 2. Here’s everything we know.
When is Crew Girl Season 2 coming out?
As of September 22, Crew Girl has been renewed for Season 2! Netflix shared some Season 1 stats with the renewal, sharing, “Season 1 of the coming-of-age teen drama series launched on September 10 and debuted in the Netflix English TV Top 10, where it has remained since its release, climbing up to #2 this week. It reached the top 10 in over 90 countries and now has over 16M views.”

Right now, there is no set release date for Season 2. Season 1 was filmed last fall from September to November, and was released about a year later. Now that we have a renewal, we’re looking at a late 2027 or early 2028 release date at the earliest.
Who will return for Crew Girl Season 2?
So far, we know five stars who are returning to Easton Prep, including the main trio, Martineau, Braun, and Clark, who will reprise their roles to continue the love triangle. Teagan’s mom, played by Jessica Paré, is also coming back alongside Coach Hayden actor Thomas Cadrot.
As for the boys’ crew, we’d expect to see Connor Paton as Ryder, Vincent Muller as Damon, Riley Davis as Noah, Connor Wong as Perry, Jarrett Carlington as Chris, and Jude Wilson as Baloo. And since Season 2 will explore the new girls’ team helmed by Britney, it makes sense for Sage Linder to come back. Some new faces could also come into the mix to make up the girls’ crew. Also, Juliet’s story leaves off on a cliffhanger with her mom coming back to town, so Olga Petsa could reprise her role.
What will Crew Girl Season 2 be about?
Showrunner Vivian Lin was tight-lipped about any Season 2 plans in an interview with Swooon, though she did say that to write the finale, she needed to have an idea of the next season’s first episode. “In the writers’ room, you’re always just gossiping about the characters, so you’re always theorizing and gossiping about them, and then eventually things become ‘real life’ for the characters,” she said. “So, we have a lot of gossip about them.”
She also revealed how Josh and Teagan need to grow in order for them to have a shot romantically. “He has hidden himself away for so long, and he’s on new footing,” Lin explained. “His family has been upended, his rowing has been upended. He has no idea where he is, and he’s hurt a lot of people along the way to keep a secret. So he’s got a lot of rebuilding to do and a little bit of some redemption. As for Teagan, she hasn’t experienced enough yet of her life. She’s just settled in after being upended. She’s not in her form.”
