After four years of marriage, 90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Michelle has filed for divorce from Manuel Velez.
Fans might recall Ashley and Manuel from Season 10, where 34-year-old Manuel traveled from Puyo, Ecuador, to Rochester, New York, to marry his long-distance love, 32-year-old Ashley. The couple met over a decade ago, when Ashley studied abroad in Ecuador and met Manuel at a New Year’s Eve party. Despite breaking up after she moved back to the States, the duo’s love grew stronger as pen pals, and they eventually decided to try again. They tied the knot in 2022.
Just a day before their fourth anniversary, Ashley revealed on social media that she was “officially asking for a divorce.” Below, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about their messy split.
Are 90 Day Fiancé‘s Ashley and Manuel still together?
As of September 7, 2026, Ashley and Manuel have split. Ashley announced their divorce on her social media, seemingly talking directly to Manuel in her post. She wrote, “What a shame, tomorrow is our 4 year anniversary and I’m officially asking for a divorce.” Later on in her message, she told Manuel, “I am DONE. Do not come back to this house.”

Why did Ashley break up with Manuel?
According to Ashley, she broke up with Manuel because she does not feel supported by him. She wrote, “I have felt unsupported by you for years and now when I am in my most vulnerable state you have done NOTHING support me.”
So, what is this “vulnerable state?” Two weeks before their split, Ashley posted that she had undergone a tummy tuck and breast lift. In her post, which featured Manuel walking her into the plastic surgeon’s office, she wrote, “The final chapter of a very long book is coming to a close….and now we heal as we open another one.”

While she has not confirmed that she was referencing this healing period, we’d assume this recovery is the vulnerable state she was referring to.
Has Manuel commented on their split?
While Manuel has not put out an official statement about their split, he has posted since their divorce. During the night of September 7, he posted a POV video of himself hiking. After that, he shared another nature photo on his Instagram Story, writing, “While others want to make statements, I just want peace and quiet.”

Both Jasmine Pineda and Nikki Exotika, who have both gotten divorced from their Season 10 partners, have already sent Ashley well wishes. Jasmine wrote, “Welcome to the club.
