90 Day Fiancé star Jenny Slatten has been seeking an emergency United States tourist visa for her husband, Sumit Singh, amid her battle with ALS. Now, Jenny’s daughter, Christina Cuevas, has revealed shocking news about his visa status and posted a plea to her local senators and representative.

On September 1, Christina posted on TikTok, giving an update to 90 Day Fiancé fans following Jenny’s health journey, revealing that Sumit had his visa interview. In the video, Christina confirmed that Sumit, who currently lives in India with Jenny, who is an American citizen, was denied a visa.

Christina confirmed, “Sumit had his visa interview, and he was denied.” She assured their fans, “Don’t worry, it’s not the end of it. We’re not giving up. I have reached out to my senators again for help. We’re looking for an emergency humanitarian visa.”

In the video, she also noted, “My mom is getting weaker. She’s getting weaker in her spine, and her neck, and her hands.” That said, she assured her followers, “We are not giving up. I am going to fight tooth and nail to get them both here… There’s no way in Hell that I’m giving up on this.”

On September 2, Christina also posted a video directly reaching out to Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff, and House Representative Ken Calvert, explaining, “We are running out of something that can never be replaced. And that is time. Time with our mother.”

In the video, she directly addressed the officials, sharing, “I am a California resident. I am reaching out to you as a daughter who desperately needs to bring her seriously ill mother home to the United States.” She added, “My mom, Jenny, is an American citizen currently living in India with her husband, Sumit, my stepfather. My beautiful mother has been diagnosed with Bulbar ALS, a devastating progressive disease, and her condition is steadily getting worse.”

She continued, “We are desperately trying to bring my mother back to the United States so that way she can be with her family and receive the care and support she so desperately needs. Due to how quickly this has been progressing, the doctors do not want my mom to travel alone… Her husband has become her primary caregiver and needs to accompany her here to the United States.”

Diving into the visa process so far, Christina explained, “My stepfather and my mom applied for an emergency tourist visa with the medical reference, and for some reason, with no explanation, her husband was denied a visa. We were given no meaningful explanation to help my family know what to do next. I am asking your office to please treat this as an important humanitarian medical matter. Please help our family with a congressional inquiry into the visa.”

She assured, “We are not asking to disregard immigration law, and our family is not asking for any special treatment. We are asking for a review of the visa, and we are hoping you will keep the humanitarian medical as a reference for this visa and why we need it so badly.” See Christina’s full plea below.
