- Ashley shared that all houseguests are aware of the showmance.
Ashley Trail did not get into a showmance before becoming the first houseguest eliminated from Big Brother Season 28. But she did try her first hamburger, and that has to count for something!
Following her eviction, Ashley sat down with our partner site, TV Insider, where she exclusively revealed her thoughts on Season 28’s first showmance for Swooon. As viewers know, Ashley’s roomies, Rome Seymour and Lyric Medeiros, started showing some serious PDA in the BB house as early as Day 2.
“I was so shocked that by Night 2 they were lying down cuddling together,” Ashley spilled.
Coming into the house single and ready to mingle, she couldn’t help but feel a little jealous of their connection. “Honestly, I was shell-shocked,” she confessed. “So I was like, ‘Dang, I can’t believe I’m like not having a showmance.'”
That said, she’s worried that Lyric and Rome’s very public connection could put a target on their backs in the future. “It’s like, I want to flirt, but at the same time, I was like, ‘This is going to ruin their game.'” She added, “Hopefully, that doesn’t happen.”

Of course, she’s rooting for the duo to live out their Big Brother happily ever after (or BB HEA, if you will). So, how do the rest of the houseguests feel about Rome and Lyric’s connection and PDA? Ashley shared that everyone seems to know about the showmance, but “nobody really cared, which was kind of a shock.”
Now that Ashley has become the first houseguest evicted from Big Brother 28, she’ll be watching Rome and Lyric’s showmance from the outside of the house with the rest of us. That said, we’re grateful she was able to shed a little light on how the houseguests feel about Rome and Lyric’s interconnected gameplay.
