Who Is Ben Lambert? Get to Know Taylor Frankie Paul’s Ex on ‘Mormon Wives’
We thought we’d seen the last of Ben Lambert in Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, when he visited Taylor Frankie Paul in Utah just before her big moment on The Bachelorette — yeah, that was before everything went downhill.
The pair hit it off during Season 4, with Taylor even seemingly soft-launching Ben by sharing a now-deleted Instagram photo of a man holding a guitar. Social media sleuths quickly identified the mystery man as Ben.
Much to our surprise, Ben was back for round two in Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives! Even after The Bachelorette, Taylor still had time for this mustached flame, with the new season revealing that their relationship was far from over.
So, who exactly is Ben Lambert? What’s the history between him and Taylor, and where do they stand now? Here’s everything you need to know about Taylor’s on-again, off-again musician flame.
Who is Ben Lambert?
Ben Lambert is a singer and songwriter (@lambsingsong on TikTok). Not much is known about him for the rest, except that he and Taylor follow each other on TikTok. (More on that below.)
He has an EP on Spotify called Two Pints (On Me) with two songs, which came out this year.
Ben was a program manager, but got fired right before meeting Taylor – something which had the Mormon wifeys suspicious of his intentions.
How did Taylor Frankie Paul and Ben Lambert meet?
While appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast to announce her Bachelorette news, Taylor spilled on the situation. Apparently, it all happened on TikTok Live.

“He was singing and playing guitar,” Taylor shared. “It was, like, new to him, too. I was like, ‘This guy’s got a voice!’ I’ve never, one, sat and watched a TikTok Live, really, nor do I write on them. But I was the one who was like, ‘You have a really good voice, can you play this song?'”
After Taylor popped into the comments section, the mystery man asked where she was from, and when she told him, he revealed that his ex-girlfriend used to watch The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Taylor played it cool and only said she “made an appearance” on the Hulu series once. “I’m literally just teasing him,” she laughed. “Then he ended up looking me up after the fact.”
She confirmed this story in the first episode of Season 4 when telling Jessi Ngatikaura about her “crush.” She said they simply kept messaging afterward.
Talk about a meet-cute.
What happened between Ben Lambert and Taylor Frankie Paul in Season 4?
Ben ended up visiting Taylor in Utah twice, which we see in Season 4. He even met the rest of MomTok!
She warned him that she was about to be on The Bachelorette, which he was “cool” with because there were “no feelings” between them yet.
“The next time he came, I was like, ‘Would you ever come on it?’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t really want to date on reality TV,'” she added. “He’s like a good soul. All my friends are like, ‘Green flag, green flag!’ The fact that he didn’t hop onto that. He’s like, ‘Go do your thing. If you meet someone, we weren’t meant to be, and if not, maybe I’ll be here.’”
Sounds like sparks were flying! Taylor said she posted the now-deleted photo to “confuse people” and pointed out that she does things like that “all the time” because it’s “fun” and “entertaining.” She added, “I guess I didn’t think that one too much through. I could understand how this looks, but to be honest, I’m going to be honest, I’ve met him twice. Likable guy, he’s great. Are we official? No. I don’t know the guy. Nothing along the lines of a soft-launch. I don’t know him.”
So, while Ben was a new character in Season 4, he didn’t become a main character by any means.
Did Ben Lambert and Taylor Frankie Paul get together in Season 5?
As we said, against all odds, Ben came back for the new season.
Taylor left The Bachelorette engaged to Doug Mason, although she had to keep the engagement under wraps while her season was still scheduled to air. Shortly after returning home, she also found herself reconnecting with her ex, Dakota Mortensen. But at the same time, she received a message from Ben asking the question everyone wanted to know: Did she get married?

Hulu
The two started chatting again, and it quickly became clear the spark between them hadn’t gone away. Taylor eventually ended her engagement to Doug and flew Ben out to New York City to visit her while she was filming with the rest of MomTok.
Because of the restrictions in her The Bachelorette contract, the pair couldn’t be seen together in public. Instead, their romance played out entirely inside Taylor’s penthouse, giving viewers everything from bagels in bed to bubble baths. And yes, that bubble bath scene was… revealing. Emotionally, of course.
From the moment Ben arrived, he made it clear he was dating with marriage in mind. While speaking with Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews, he explained how serious he was about exploring a future with Taylor. Later, both women admitted in their confessionals that they weren’t convinced Taylor was ready for that level of commitment. Miranda McWhorter echoed those concerns, wondering whether Taylor was using Ben to avoid being single.
As it turned out, Taylor was having the same doubts. While away from Ben, she admitted to the other women that she wasn’t sure she could give him what he wanted. Then, just as Ben was packed and ready to head home, Taylor ended their relationship. Ben appeared genuinely caught off guard but remained gracious as he left.
This time, it really did seem like the end for Ben and Taylor.
Of course, Taylor wasn’t done with relationship drama just yet. Soon after Ben’s departure, Dakota was back in the picture once again, but that’s a story for another time.
