Months after the Season 7 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell All, Pattiya Phillips revealed a shocking update about her relationship status with Dylan Yeandle: They are no longer together. According to Dylan, he found out about their split at the same time as the rest of the world.
Season 7 of The Other Way introduced 58-year-old exotic dancer Pattiya, who moved to Tasmania to live with her longtime boyfriend, 38-year-old Dylan. While the couple had a strong foundation, with over a decade of love between them, moving in together in Australia brought their biggest struggle to the forefront: Dylan’s close bond with his mom, Jo. After patching things up with his mom, Dylan proposed to Pattiya before the season ended, and the two left the season engaged.

As of August 19, 2026, Pattiya and Dylan are no longer together. Pattiya revealed that she made the decision to call it quits, writing, “After 12 years together and approaching our 13th, I have made the difficult decision to end my relationship with Dylan. I understand that Dylan may not want our relationship to end, but I can no longer continue living through the distance, uncertainty, and constant cycle of being together and apart. I waited 12 years for our relationship to truly move forward, held on through so much, and gave it more chances than I can count. But I cannot keep waiting and hoping for a future that may never come.”

Did Dylan know about the split before Pattiya posted?
According to Dylan, he had no idea about his split from Pattiya until she broke up with him through a social media post. He wrote, “I’m not gonna lie, Pattiya completely blindsided me with this. After 12 years together, I never expected to be reading about the end of our relationship online like everyone else.”

What happened between Pattiya and Dylan in Season 7?
Despite some major arguments ahead of the Tell All, Pattiya revealed on stage that while she and Dylan were still engaged, she had moved back to Texas. “I decided living in a small town with his mom being like minutes away was not going to work for us,” she said. Dylan explained, “I’ll be in the States in a couple of weeks. I’ve got three months there. So while I’m there, Pattiya and I are going to be working on the K-1 visa.”
In Episode 18, the couple took their relationship to the next level when Dylan asked Pattiya to marry him. The season finale proved that the couple still had some differences to sort out, as Dylan claimed that Pattiya sees her strip club customers outside of work. He told her, “I know for a fact you’ve got customers in your phone… You’re with them at the club, and then afterwards, sometimes you go back to the hotels.” While Dylan admitted he had taken things too far, this clearly struck a chord with his then-fiancée. She told viewers, “This is extremely f**ked up. I know what he’s implying that I have sex with other men in the club. He’s calling me a prostitute.”
Throughout the season, the couple had arguments over her credit card debt and his frequent phone calls to his mother. Dylan had made it clear that he was not willing to propose until Pattiya made an effort to pay off her high credit card debt, which she seemed to blame on him.

Did Pattiya and Dylan get engaged?
Yes, Pattiya and Dylan were engaged. Twelve years into their relationship, Dylan took Pattiya to Cataract Gorge Reserve, where he popped the question. For his proposal, Dylan surprised Pattiya, telling her, “When two souls are destined to be together, they’re bound by an invisible thread. That thread may stretch, it may tangle, but it will never break, because when something’s meant to be, it always finds a way.” Taking out a ring, he continued, “This ring symbolizes that thread, but now that thread is no longer invisible. It’s in plain sight for everyone to see.”
Pattiya gave Dylan an enthusiastic yes, tearfully telling him, “Oh my God, I waited for this 12 years.” On the day their engagement aired on TLC, Pattiya posted behind-the-scenes footage on her Instagram Story.

Why didn’t Pattiya like Dylan’s mom?
Pattiya felt that Dylan and his mom were too close. As Dylan put it, “Since I was a little kid, mom and I have always been close. Pattiya has never really been close to her mom, so she doesn’t really understand that closeness.” He believed that Pattiya was fearful that Jo could influence him too much or take him away from her.
During Episode 14, Pattiya confronted Dylan’s mom, Jo, letting her know that she calls her son too often. She started by asking Jo after playing tennis, “How did you feel when you knew that Dylan said, ‘Mom, Pattiya’s going to be moving here,’ even though you knew I hated you and wanted nothing to do with you?”
Their tennis court chat continued as Pattiya told Jo, “I feel like you’re a needy mother, Jo.” Quick to fire back, Jo told her, “Here’s the deal: I’m not needy. I’m not needy in any relationships. I’m actually quite strong and capable.” She continued, “Asking me not to call doesn’t seem normal… But I’ll do it.”
While Jo was happy for her son, that would be a hard pill for anyone to swallow. Pattiya continued, “In order for me to feel comfortable here, I feel like I need to set boundaries. Like, maybe not call Dylan every day, three times a day.”
Later, Pattiya told Dylan that she had asked his mom to only call twice a week. He told her, “It’s your great idea. It’s not a great idea for me… It shouldn’t bother you that much.” Dylan’s response? “If respecting the woman that brought you into this world is a problem, I don’t really know what to say.”
How did Dylan and Pattiya meet?
Dylan revealed on social media that he met Pattiya in 2014, when he joined the cast of Thunder From Down Under. At the time, she was an exotic dancer on the Vegas strip. As Pattiya put it, “I never thought I would date somebody that was like 20 years younger than me, but his personality won me over.” She continued, “Dylan and I lived together in Las Vegas for about 7 years, but then he had to move back to Australia, do the visa stuff, and shortly after that, I moved back to Texas, and we’ve been doing the long-distance back and forth, off and on.”
