Are ’90 Day Fiancé’s Kara & Guillermo Still Together After ‘Last Resort’ Ghosting?
Trust us when we say we did not see that one coming…
While some couples have gotten into major arguments throughout their stay at Thornsbury Castle, Kara Leona Bass and Guillermo Rojer have spent 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 3 trying to win back each other’s affections. That is, until Guillermo completely ghosted Kara at the recommitment ceremony.
Before The Last Resort, it seemed clear that Kara and Guillermo had split, despite some lingering feelings. The duo joined the Season 3 cast of the couples counseling series, and it was initially unclear whether the divorce they discussed on Season 9 of Happily Ever After? was still in the cards, or if they were trying to keep their strained connection intact. However, with a major reveal about how Kara makes money to support their son, all bets were off.
TLC viewers first met Kara and Guillermo on Season 9 of 90 Day Fiancé‘s flagship show, when she was 29 and he was 23. The couple crossed paths in the Dominican Republic while Kara was visiting for a work trip. Kara was then asked to move to the Dominican Republic for work, and at the time, Guillermo was her only friend there. Following their decision to move in together right off the bat, Kara and Guillermo shocked their families by getting engaged. Today, the couple is legally married with one son, Nicolas (Nico).

Are 90 Day Fiancé’s Kara and Guillermo still together?
Kara and Guillermo are no longer together. During the regular season finale, Kara asked Guillermo whether he was willing to compromise on her adult content, limiting the kinds of content she creates, rather than making her stop altogether. Knowing he couldn’t compromise, Guillermo walked out before the recommitment ceremony and left a letter with Patrick Mendes to break up with Kara in writing.
In the episodes leading up to the recommitment ceremony, Kara and Guillermo were working on their intimacy. However, while Kara was ready to get spicy, Guillermo was still hesitant. From their first minutes on Season 9 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Kara and Guillermo made it clear their relationship had been strained by work, intimacy, and other issues. Deciding to go their separate ways, Kara said, “I wanted it to be different. I think you’re not my person. Doesn’t mean that I don’t love you, that I don’t care about you, and that I don’t respect you as a father and my son.” Instead, she said, “I just think that we have two vastly different versions of how we got here.”
Does Kara Leona sell photos of herself online?
Yes, on The Last Resort Season 3, Kara confirmed that she sells photos of herself online. This reveal kicked off a heated argument, and Guillermo confessed that he was not proud to call Kara the mother of his son. As she put it, being a single mom is expensive: “So guess what? My tits came out.”
While Guillermo made it clear he has a moral issue with Kara providing for their son in that way, she fired back, “I’ve not asked you for like $1 since we’ve separated over a year, and he’s with me six nights a week.”
“Kara and I have a lot of trust problems,” Guillermo shared. “This is why I didn’t want her to be selling those kinds of pictures online. I want to try my best to work in the marriage, but the stuff that she’s selling now, it goes way beyond just nudity.” He added, “I think about my son and how my son is going to feel with this in the future and how embarrassing this could be.”

What happened between Kara and Guillermo on Happily Ever After?
Happily Ever After? Season 9 was one rocky ride for Kara and Guillermo. During the season, the parents officially separated. Fans were quick to notice that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram before their separation was announced.
After the four-part Tell All: No Limits, we now know their relationship status isn’t as clear-cut as we thought. While Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo, the only other couple to split that season, sat on opposite sides of the room, Kara and Guillermo sat side-by-side like the rest of the happy couples. Even so, when host Shaun Robinson asked them to give viewers an update on their relationship status, Kara shared that they are “separated, living separate, co-parenting, [but] still married.”
Leaving the Tell All, Guillermo told the rest of the cast that he wanted to try to get back together with Kara. When asked if they ever could, Guillermo responded, “After many different conversations with everybody, you know, and thinking about it, yeah.” On the verge of tears, Kara admitted to the cast, “When I look at his face, it reminds me, like, I used to look at his face and feel so much hope.”
He shared that Kara lives in the house she and Guillermo bought together, while he lives somewhere else. After revealing their living arrangements, Guillermo admitted that he does not think that he and Kara are equals in their relationship. He claimed, “If I will do the same things that she do, I will definitely be looking really bad,” arguing that the subtext of Kara’s comments towards him is often, “I don’t care about you. It’s not your country, but I still, I don’t care about you.” Kara immediately refuted his claims.
“There is a small line of respect that I feel from her just because I’m the father of her kid,” he explained. “And if Nico wouldn’t be there, that respect, it would be none.” Oof! After they had hashed out their differences and discussed how Kara’s musical career impacted their relationship, Shaun asked the duo if divorce was next for them, and Kara let her know that (as of right now) they are just separated.
Why were Kara and Guillermo on The Last Resort Season 3?
If Kara and Guillermo had already separated, why were they on The Last Resort? Ahead of the season, TLC teased, “Kara and Guillermo are currently living in separate homes just minutes apart as they try to determine whether their marriage and their family can be saved. Years of built-up resentment, compounded by jealousy and suspicions of infidelity, have overshadowed the love they once shared. After reconnecting at the Tell All, they acknowledged that their feelings remain, but they are unsure how to move forward.”
Is Kara on Hunt for Love?
Ahead of the recommitment ceremony, Kara was announced as a cast member for Season 2 of 90 Day: Hunt for Love. Sounds like she and Guillermo don’t work this one out in the remix.
