The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 4 is shaping up to be the juiciest season yet, with six brand-new couples. Based on the trailer alone, it’s time to buckle up, reality TV lovers. At one point, cohost Nick Lachey asks someone to leave the experiment.
On June 26, Netflix quietly confirmed that The Ultimatum will return on July 15 while teasing their summer rollout of series and games. The Nick and Vanessa Lachey-hosted Netflix dating show, by the same creators of Love Is Blind, Perfect Match, and The Ultimatum: Queer Love, follows five to six couples in which one person is ready to tie the knot, while the other still has cold feet.
In the series, these couples split up to enter trial marriages with another member of the cast who could be a better match, before returning to their original partner for another trial marriage. In the end, they have to decide whether to get engaged, recouple, or sever ties for good. Below, we’re breaking down everything we know about the season so far!

When will The Ultimatum Season 4 premiere?
The Ultimatum Season 4 is set to premiere on July 15, 2026. Netflix has revealed that Episodes 1-8 will air on the premiere date, and Episodes 9-10 (the finale and reunion) will air a week later on July 22.

What happened in The Ultimatum Season 3?
Plenty of notable moments happened in Season 3. In previous installments, some couples exited the experience, but this time around, two left before the first trial marriage was even over. Two contestants, Nick Tramontin and Mariah Zernik, were left to finish the trial marriages on their own.
Occasional smooches, disrespectful talk, and new connections allowed the original couples to appreciate each other more — or the wedge between them widened.
The finale wrapped up all the loose ends for the couples. Two couples left engaged: Mariah and Caleb Lefterys, as well as Scotty Lewis and Aria De’Westbrooks. At the reunion, Mariah and Caleb revealed they’re planning a destination wedding in 2026.
Despite getting engaged at the end of the experiment, Scotty and Aria ultimately didn’t last. Aria broke off their engagement just one day later. “I realized I made a mistake pretty fast after,” Aria said.
Sandy Gallagher and Nick split, as well as Zaina Sesay and J.R. Warren. Dave Adams and Vanessa Hattaway were one of the couples to leave the experiment early, and they’re still together, planning to get married this Halloween. Micah Hardeman and Chanel Watkins got engaged in September 2025 and will be heading down the aisle soon as well.
Will there be another season of The Ultimatum: Queer Love?
Unfortunately, The Ultimatum: Queer Love has been canceled by Netflix after two seasons. While many dating shows focus on straight couples, The Ultimatum: Queer Love tapped into the world of women and non-binary people who were attracted to each other.
