Shawn Colvin

Shawn Colvin is an American singer-songwriter best known for her work in the folk and contemporary pop genres. She gained major recognition with her 1997 hit "Sunny Came Home", which won two Grammy Awards: Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Though Colvin is primarily known for her music career rather than Hollywood acting, she does have some notable connections to film and television. Her songs have been featured in various soundtracks, and she’s made guest appearances in pop culture projects. Her music was used in the 1995 film "Bye Bye Love", and she contributed to the soundtrack of "Grace of My Heart" (1996), a movie inspired by the life of Carole King. Colvin also had a small acting role on the TV show "The Larry Sanders Show", where she played herself. She appeared in "A Rugrats Vacation" (1997), lending her voice to a musical segment. Her voice and songs have also been featured in episodes of "Dawson’s Creek", "Felicity", and other 90s/early 2000s TV staples.
