Allie LaForce is an American sports journalist and television reporter, best known for her work as a reporter for CBS Sports and later for Turner Sports, where she has covered the NBA on TNT. She gained national recognition as the lead sideline reporter for SEC college football and college basketball games on CBS, where she worked alongside Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson.
Before launching her broadcasting career, LaForce was Miss Teen USA 2005, representing Ohio. She went on to attend Ohio University, where she studied broadcast journalism and played on the university’s women’s basketball team.
After college, she began her career in local news and sports broadcasting in Ohio before moving on to national roles. In 2018, she joined Turner Sports full-time, primarily covering NBA games. She’s also contributed to MLB coverage and has hosted segments for NBA TV.
LaForce is married to MLB pitcher Joe Smith, and the couple has been active in charitable causes, including raising awareness and funding for Huntington’s disease, which runs in Smith’s family.
