Meet the ‘Line of Fire’ Cast’s Real-Life Loves
NBC’s new procedural, Line of Fire, is all about complicated family dynamics. At its core is a messy marriage between Peter Krause‘s Mike and Hope Davis‘ Jane. Secret Service agent Mike and U.S. Marshal Jane are estranged spouses. They have to navigate their jobs — as well as their kids, who have followed them into law enforcement — and their own issues with each other. It gets even more tricky when Jane’s new boyfriend (Campbell Scott) comes into the picture.
Needless to say, there’s going to be plenty of relationships to dive into over the course of Season 1, but that didn’t stop us from wondering about the cast’s off-screen relationships, too. Hope Davis
Hope Davis has been married to actor and singer Jon Patrick Walker since 2002. He made his professional stage debut when he was eight years old and had main roles in The Fighting Fitzgeralds and Holding the Baby. In 2006, he also starred in Broadway’s High Fidelity as Bruce Springsteen. Walker also puts out music, releasing his latest album in 2025. He and Davis share have two daughters, Georgia and Mae.
Kat Cunning
Kat Cunning, aka Clare, is engaged to fellow actor Jules Latimer, who is best known for their role in Fire Country. They announced their engagement in a January 2026 joint Instagram post, which described their first date.
“A three-course meal on the day we met, it left seeds in our teeth,” the couple wrote. “And we left wishing for a flosser, as much as we wished we had kissed … You sent me a picture of one when you got home. You showed me early that you could give me what I ask for, and teach me what I need.”
Charlie Barnett
Line of Fire‘s Charlie Barnett, who plays Jack, is also engaged. His fiancé is set designer Drew Bender. They got engaged in 2022, after several years of dating. They made their red carpet debut in September 2019, though they were linked months earlier.
Sam Waterston
Sam Waterston, who plays former President Thomas Barnes, is married to longtime love and former model Lynn Louisa Woodruff. They married in 1976, meeting in New York’s Central Park while Waterston was performing in a Shakespeare play, per Parade.
They share three children: Elisabeth, who was born in 1977; Katherine (1980), and Graham (1983). Waterston’s eldest child, James, was born in 1969 when he was married to his first wife, Barbara Rutledge Johns. They divorced in 1975.
Chris Chalk
Chris Chalk, aka Line of Fire‘s President Kayana, has been married since 2017. His wife is fellow actress Kimberley Dalton Mitchell, who has appeared on Days of our Lives.
Campbell Scott
Campbell Scott began dating actress Kathleen McElfresh in 2007 and got engaged two years later. They met while they were both in theater productions in Boston. “I was in a one-man play, so I was very lonely,” Scott told People. “Kathleen was in a play by the same author, but with a real cast. I just ended up with the cast one night, so we started talking.”
They married months after getting engaged. Scott has one son, Malcolm, from his first marriage to ex, Anne Scott.
Peter Krause
Peter Krause is currently thought to be single, though he has a famous dating history. He was in a long-term relationship with Gilmore Girls‘ Lauren Graham. They started dating when they were cast in Parenthood together in 2010 and split in 2021.
In November 2022, Graham shared more details about their split. “I’m in a better place, but it’s still just a shame. It’s just sad to me,” she told People. “We had such a good time together that I didn’t maybe ask some fundamental questions about ‘What are your values and what do you envision?’ and those more grown-up things. And then they just caught up with us.”
Krause and Graham didn’t have any children. Krause welcomed his only son, Roman, in 2001 with his ex, Christine King. They were in a relationship from 1999 to 2003.
Tommy O'Brien
Tommy O’Brien, who plays Line of Fire‘s Micah, isn’t known to be in a relationship currently. There’s no sign of a significant other on his Instagram.
Taylor Bloom
Taylor Bloom, who plays DOJ analyst Russ, hasn’t publicly discussed his dating life. Taking a look at his Instagram account, he doesn’t appear to be in a relationship or he’s keeping that part of his life private.
