Kim Kardashian‘s dating history is plastered around the internet, but one of her lesser-known love connections was mentioned on the November 5 episode of The Kardashians. Kris Jenner invited Kim, Khloé Kardashian, and Kim’s The Fifth Wheel costars to her house in Palm Springs for a sleepover, and secrets were spilled.
Kris, Kim, and Khloé were joined by Brenda Song, Nikki Glaser, and Fortune Feimster for a game of “truth or dare” in matching Skims pajamas. One “truth” card that Khloé picked up said, “What have you pretended to like to impress someone?”
She then began, “Kim, when we were younger, went on a date with Joey Lawrence and she pretended to like…” The sentence cut off there as Kim interjected with, “I was like, ‘Whoa!'” We never heard the rest of the story, but the short-lived romance was briefly discussed on Joey’s Brotherly Love podcast with Matthew Lawrence and Andrew Lawrence in 2023.

“Joey broke a commitment to me when I was seven,” Andrew shared. “We were supposed to have a sleepover. He stood me up for Jennifer Love Hewitt.” That prompted Matthew to reveal, “That’s funny because we were supposed to be playing video games, and I’m knocking on his door, and then Kim Kardashian answers the door. I was pissed for about .5 seconds because then I was just talking to Kim and I was like, ‘Oh, this is great!'”
The eldest brother seemed a bit embarrassed by his relationship history being brought up. “You guys,” he said to Matthew and Andrew. “OK. Now we’re going down some rabbit hole!”
Later in the episode, Matthew told Joey, “Actually, I’m sorry, this seems like I’m pulling this out of the hat for the podcast, but this is true. I actually totally forgot to tell you. A friend of mine ran into Kim, and she said to say hello.” Joey thanked his brother for passing along the message, and their conversation shifted to Kanye West, whom Kim was in the midst of divorcing at the time.
Whatever happened between Kim and Joey doesn’t seem to have gotten too serious. It’s unclear when they dated. Joey was married to Michelle Vella from 2002 to 2005 and Chandie Yawn-Nelson from 2005 to 2020 (their divorce was finalized in 2022). He has been married to his wife, Samantha Cope, since 2022.
Kim, meanwhile, was married to her first husband, Damon Thomas, from 2000 to 2003. She dated Ray J from 2003 to 2006 and Reggie Bush from 2007 to 2009, then married Kris Humphries in 2011. They separated after just 72 days, and she went on to wed West in 2014.
