Charissa Thompson is certainly keeping busy these days. In addition to being the NFL’s Thursday Night Football sideline reporter, she also works at Fox Sports and hosts her Calm Down podcast with bestie Erin Andrews.
Plus, she also has to make time for her love life. Thompson has been in a relationship with Steven Cundari since 2022. They have not gotten married, and Thompson has admitted that she does not plan to ever legally wed her partner.
“I will never get legally married again,” she told fans in an Instagram Q&A. “I won’t sign any paperwork. But happy to have a party and celebrate how much I love Steve with friends and family.”
Below, we rounded up everything to know about Thompson and Cundari’s relationship, her past marriages, and more.

Cundari is a marketing executive and co-founder of Summit House, “a venture studio of agencies specializing in sports, entertainment, and technology.” The company has worked with brands including Spotify, NFL, Nike, Hulu, and many more, per its website.

She also joked, “They were the matchmakers. So it was vetted. I know the social security and the bank account now, so all is right.” Cundari went to college with Kelly.
How many times has Charissa Thompson been married?
Thompson has been married twice before. Her first marriage was when she was 25 years old, although she has never revealed the identity of her first husband.
“I go to break up with him, [and] he says, ‘We’re not breaking up, we’re getting married.’ I go, ‘OK,'” Thompson once shared. “We got to Hollywood and get tattoo rings –I had never had a tattoo, he had never had a tattoo. [We] get ring tattoos. And then, four days later, I was like, ‘Well if we’re going to get married, we’re going to get married on a beach in Laguna beach because I want to get married on a beach.’ He said, ‘OK.’ I pull out a Forever 21 white dress out of my closet, I wear that, I get flowers from the side of the road, and Polaroids were our pictures for my wedding. That was the wedding.”
In January 2020, Thompson got engaged to her second husband, Kyle Thousand, a sports agent. They tied the knot that December and were divorced by 2022.
“It was a decision I did not reach overnight,” she admitted. “I’ve been privately dealing with this for a while and my health stuff… a lot that of that stuff I know was related to the stress that I was under to come to this decision that was not easy to make. It comes down to this, and this is my advice to anyone, you have to do what’s best for you. You get one life and this thing is real short. So, I knew that I had exhausted all the options to try and keep my marriage intact and I have nothing but love and respect for my now former significant other. But it just reached a point where I knew that I was better off by myself.”
In October 2026, Thompson joked about her exes during an NFL broadcast. “I thought you were gonna make me rank my good, better, best ex-husbands, and they’re all bad,” she said.

“My choice to not have children grew from my struggle in marriages,” she admitted in 2024. “I have been divorced twice and I had some situations that created a lot of mistrust and a lot of heartache. I don’t want to attach myself to something that I can’t detach from. I can walk away from those marriages, but I can’t walk away from children.”
Thompson said she had “always wanted to have kids,” but her desire for “control” over her life changed that. “There’s all these other things that can happen when you have a child and for me it comes back to control,” she explained.
The sportscaster revealed on her podcast in October 2026 that she and Cundari are aligned on not wanting kids and are “99% sure” they won’t have a child. However, she admitted that seeing a photo of her partner holding their friend’s child made her briefly wonder, “Do I want a baby?” Still, she added, “But then I get over it.”
